The principality club take on in-form Sochaux tomorrow night with 40 points to their name, just two points above the bottom three with four games to go.
They have been impressive in recent weeks, losing just one of their last six matches, but Banide knows the fight to survive is not over yet, with two other teams level on points with Monaco and a further three on 42.
He told www.asm-fc.com: "We have been on an interesting run for several weeks, but the championship is so special that it may take 44 or 45 points to get by.
"The players are in the right frame of mind, we need this before anything else. We have to continue on our path without worrying about others, use our strengths to succeed and achieve the best possible results.
